This City is located south of the lake in the region called “Bay of Plenty.” It ‘a charming and quiet town, to see:

Taupo Botanical Gardens contain a wide variety of native plants, rhododendrons, camellias and azaleas;

The falls “Huka Falls” in the vicinity ‘of the Waikato River where you will experience the feeling of how nature can’ be strong and destructive, and how helpless mankind is faced with such force;

The lookout: In this area there are a number of vantage points where ‘can enjoy the lovely view of Lake Taupo and Turangi on the river;

Although ‘there is a path that runs along the entire circumference, a number of walks around Lake Taupo, where you can watch them untouched nature reigns supreme.
