For us budget travelers is important to save the trip from start to finish.
It begins with a last minute try, a flight and a budget hotel, but not enough. Once on holiday jeopardize all our efforts even if we were able to start flights.
For this I give you 3 tips to save on holiday:
Choose a cheap accommodation which is accommodation at the campsite, hostel or apartment, the important thing is to adapt and do the difficult. Often, the choice of accommodation is the rule that the more you spend less, so if you are traveling in small groups. Even better if you practice that couchsurfing is to sleep on a sofa, hosted free of charge.
You cook and eat in restaurants that can be as cheap, are still spending a significant holiday. Arrange to buy in supermarkets or shopping in local markets and cooking equipment alone. If you have booked accommodation that does not provide for this possibility try to find fast food restaurants where you can eat standing up on the cheap, or buy something ready in a deli. Maybe not the best for the diet but for a limited time you can indulge in some sin of gluttony, our eating habits will recover once they return home. If you are a fixed line you can still eat healthy meals on a budget, perhaps by buying the tasty fruit.
Move on foot. Walking through the city is the best way to find unusual angles and unknown, off the beaten track. Usually you can walk to visit a city without losing anything, plus it’s cheap! If you’re lazy or the place where you want to go too far, with a minimum purchase, you can always rent a bicycle or use local transport (certainly cheaper than taxis). In the latter case, inquire whether it is possible to buy a daily or weekly, certainly cheaper than buying a single ticket.
The last piece of advice I would give is to choose to save the places where the exchange rate with the euro is favorable. They are generally more distant destinations and the cost of tickets to the increased spending is high but the ticket will be compensated by the low cost of local life.
